REF No. 6256
chinese export porcelain famille rose punchbowl

Qianlong period circa 1745
European Market
Diameter: 15¾ inches; 40cm

A large Chinese famille rose punchbowl, painted with peonies and rocks, the interior with flowers and an ornate rim border.

This is a fine example of a large decorative punchbowl, suitable for a hall centre table or library table. Such bowls were a classic element of 18th century interior decoration and this one is of excellent quality and in very good condition with no breaks or repairs.
